Client's Request and Task
Our task was to develop a custom-made Nose Dock working platform, specifically designed for efficient and precise maintenance of helicopter fronts. It was essential that the platform allows for exact contour adaptation, supports ergonomic and safe working, and complies with all applicable standards.
- Precise adaptation to the contour of the helicopter front for accurate maintenance work
- Ergonomic working conditions for personnel
- Stable, reliable, and standard-compliant construction of the working platform
Our Solution
Nose Dock Concept
The Nose Dock working platform consists of a main platform and an integrated platform staircase. The main platform is precisely tailored to the contours of the helicopter front, thus allowing for strut-free and accurate assembly.
Adaptability and Safety
With a variable platform height of 1,500 mm to 2,100 mm and mechanical height adjustment via forklift pockets in 100 mm increments, our solution offers high flexibility and adaptability to different work situations. A surrounding, rigid railing with a self-closing safety door ensures maximum work safety.
Technical Execution and Materials
The Nose Dock working platform is made from a combination of steel and aluminum elements, providing both stability and lightness. The contour adaptation is made of steel sheet, while the platform is designed with an aluminum chequer plate with Top Grip for a non-slip standing surface.
Flexibility and Mobility
Thanks to the casters with locking brakes, the platform can be flexibly positioned and fixed. The separate platform staircase provides a safe and comfortable access option to the work platform and can be easily moved for maximum freedom of movement.
Load Capacity and Dimensions
The platform is designed for a total load of up to 500 kg and a surface load of 1.50 kN/m². The platform dimensions are approximately 3,300 x 2,100 mm, providing ample space for maintenance work.
Conclusion
With the Nose Dock working platform, we offer a highly specialized and reliable solution for the maintenance and assembly of helicopter front windshields. The ergonomic design and standard-compliant execution meet the specific requirements of our client and provide a safe, adaptable, and efficient working environment.
